Bay Park House

Bay Park House

Artwork Description

This watercolor painting was inspired by a house I frequently drive by in the Bay Park area of San Diego.  It is surely an image of a house.  But it is also tells a story about the people who live in this house without actually painting the residents.  There is a sense of play and lightness portrayed in the surfboards, bicycle and fish mail box.  The shadow of the palm tree is an important visual element that unifies the tree with the architecture.  This painting was executed on Arches 300 lb. watercolor stock.
