Living in San Diego, California, I'm lucky to be able to go to various beaches in the area and take photographs at most any time of the year. I love to walk the beaches and photograph the many varied natural formations that the tides make on the sand. There are endless possibilities to photograph and I have photographed many, Here the sand, a little seaweed and a pebble complete the simple composition.
The brown gray of the sand makes the photograph take on a black and white character. I have many more variation of sand formations in my collections of photograph. It's a popular surfing beach on the Pacific Ocean. I used my Canon XTi digital camera for this photograph.
To give my photographs a quality akin to a fine oil painting, I print them on medium-weight artist quality mat canvas and ship them ready for stretching and framing. The inks used to make the print are light fast and permanent and should last for well over 100 years. I spray a protective coating over the canvas to ensure that the image will have a long lifetime.
