The scene is in Hawaii.This time the model Silk relaxes against a cloth covered back cushion and casually rests his guitar between songs. It was later I discovered how much the drapery resembled wings. Especially difficult to capture were the correct placements and angles of his legs, arms, knees and guitar to the bench where he sits. I liked the drama of the angles sticking out of the background tile and the dangling flip flop.
Edition #5 of 9, the bronze sculpture relief (bas relief) has no base, can be hung on the wall or in a frame or placed on a small easel for display. The patina is liver of sulfur with some red dye oxide on his neck scarf. Glenda Woodward sponsored the first edition and it won an honorable mention in the Fine Art Exhibition at the San Diego County Fair in Del Mar.
