I have experimented with transferring my drawings and collage elements onto my hand-made Japanese-style papers, which are very fragile. I have had found a method that seems to work well and uses archival materials. In this piece I borrowed a Leonardo angel and altered the features to make her resemble the Pandora I had in mind, and created a collection of little monsters. Subtle smoke and a hint of rainbow also permeate the paper. The text is a fragment of an Emily Dickenson poem. The stamp is an ink and watercolor piece on regular paper. The format is an outgrowth of my “Letters from Tuzo” series although it is just a fragment of something that might have been a letter.
