Manzanitas

“Manzanitas”

My studio, "The Beatonpaths",  is located next to my home on ten acres in Jamul. For the past several years I have been studying the large boulders that rise above the chaparral.  In my present body of work I am attempting to translate the mood and magic of these boulders and to welcome the viewer into the painting.   After a late spring snowstorm, a path on the corner of my property led to this image.
