Lavendar Sunrise

"Lavendar Sunrise" was painted Plein Air in Wyoming. It was a special moment in time trying to capture the broad pastures and valley of the Tetons. The emergence of the morning sun gave a luminescence to the landscape and allowed me to take some artististic license in order to capture the mystery and solitude of a place that was for the most part uninhabited. Many marshes pervade the landscape lending a softness to the grasses.
