Recently we raised various flowers in our back yard. Among them were these gladiolas which I photographed against a dark wall. The morning sunlight was shining brightly through the petals of the flowers creating his glowing image. I couldn't resist taking multiple photographs. I was attracted to the pure whiteness and the delicate pinkish-gold color on the interior of each flower.
To give my photographs a quality akin to a fine oil painting, I print them on medium-weight artist quality mat canvas and ship them ready for stretching and framing. The inks used to make the print are light fast and permanent and should last for well over 100 years. I spray a protective coating over the canvas to ensure that the image will have a long lifetime.
