Description
When I was in Beijing China in December 2008, we stayed on the 22nd floor of an apartment building in the MOMO section of the city. The view out our bedroom window was of a number of high rise buildings. As the sun came up every morning, it bounced light off a golden colored building that reflected onto the building in this photograph. The scene was like a psychedelic painting; the reflections in the glass were so pure and vibrant, that it's hard to believe they are real. I like the abstract glowing orange and golden yellow shapes contained within the gray rectangular lines of the building. Some have asked me whether there are faces in the window or is that just their imagination. What do you think?
To give my photographs a quality akin to a fine oil painting, I like to print them on medium-weight artist quality mat canvas and ship them ready for stretching and framing. The inks used to make the print are light fast and permanent and should last for well over 100 years. I spray a protective coating over the canvas to ensure that the image will have a long lifetime. This photograph is available in other sizes and on other media to suit your individual tastes and need by contacting me directly at joed [at] san [dot] rr [dot] com.
