Balboa Park Water Lily, San Diego

I took this picture of a water lily in the pond in Balboa Park because the blossoms are seldom open. I think they are beautiful. The leaves are like plates serving up a beautiful feast of flowers.  This was a blossom fully open showing all its beauty. The light on the pond was a challenge to work with at five p.m. but I had to get it when the sun went behind the clouds so I could get the shot I wanted.
