Avalanche Lake, Glacier National Park

Avalanche Lake is in glacier National Park, and was the destination of the first hike we took when we visited there.  While the glaciers feeding the cascades are not visible, the water cascading down from the heights was visible in several spots around the "bowl" of this hanging lake.

Avalanche Lake, Glacier National Park is an original monotype, a form of original print in which there is only one image.  I use clear plexiglass with no design elements on the plate, and develop the image quickly with oil paint.  The image is offset onto paper by running the plate theough an etching press. Once the paper is lifted from the plate, there is usually almost nothing left on the plate.

It is avaliable unframed and shipped flat, matted with white rag mat board. The art measures 11" x 14" and the matted dimension is 19" x 21".
