My work has been described as authentically personal, expressive elegant forms incorporating subtle political statement. It is important to me that my sculptures elicit a connection from viewers at both emotional and cognitive levels.
Most of my work is small, 5-24 inches, but are to be considered maquettes for life-size or monumental pieces to be executed as commissioned works. However, the smaller limited edition bronze sculptures are suitable for table, pedestal, or niche display in the house or the garden.
I am particularly drawn to portraiture in the faces of people I see the wonder, the promise, and the majesty of creation. Thus, I gladly accept commissions to sculpt likenesses of prominent individuals or people known only to loved ones. My goal is to contribute to American public sculpture works that edify human beings and the human spirit. I want to promote respect for the strength, the character, and the beauty of us all. |
